Welcome to HRLF

Our Mission

In a world in which we work longer, harder, and faster than ever before, the Human Resource Leadership Forum (HRLF) exists to stimulate, refresh, engage, connect and build the leadership of the Human Resources profession in New England.

HRLF is the Learning Community for Advanced HR practitioners who understand the link between effective leadership and learning. Through affiliation with HRLF, senior-level HR professionals stay apprised of current issues, research, trends, and opportunities bearing on the field of human resource leadership. HRLF offers its members opportunities to become more effective leaders and to strengthen their impact on organizations they support through sharing of ideas, experiences, knowledge and interactive meetings with best-in-class thought leaders from a broad range of disciplines.

Providing consistent, high-quality professional development opportunities for HR leaders has made HRLF the premier Human Resources association for senior-level HR professionals in New England. It offers nothing short of the opportunity for its members

to stay connected with the personal passion that underlies their enthusiasm for and commitment to the Human Resources profession.

Our Members

HRLF members are executive and senior level professionals representing public and private corporations, academia, and consultancies. Typically, our members drive the key strategic and tactical aspects of their respective enterprises, including management and organizational development, strategic human resources planning, human capital allocation and appreciation, policy and change management, learning and skills development, and rewards strategies and practices.

Our Values

Our values are woven into all we do. Our strategies and programs are designed to be responsive to our members, and built on our values of:

•  Relevance: We develop forums which represent strategic issues and thought leadership critical to our members' success;

•  Learning: We offer a wide array of professional programs that inform, educate and advance the professional perspectives and objectives of our members;

•  Diversity: We seek to include members and viewpoints from all aspects of HR;

•  Impact: We make a measurable difference in the practice of HR, in the professional growth of our members and in our communities.

Our Activities

The HR Leadership Forum is a cornerstone of the comprehensive and diverse array of results-focused, professional development and support initiatives that HRLF makes available to its members. We present 7 Leadership Forums each year which are consistently informative, relevant, insightful.

HRLF also joins with other prestigious and cutting-edge professional and educational organizations in sponsoring seminars, satellite/video conferences and programs.

HRLF maintains a website with white papers by HR thought-leaders, and a comprehensive membership directory which enables members to build their own professional network of peers.

HRLF has a strong Member Services Committee.

HRLF recognizes that there is an on-going need for HR professionals to manage their careers..both members interested in proactively developing their careers, as well as members in transition. The Member Services Committee provides focus for HRLF members to share career resources within the HRLF community and with other affiliated professional groups to build career management skills, access expertise and resources, network, and inform members of potential job opportunities.

Member Services offerings fall into four categories, a quarterly Career Readiness Breakfast, an ongoing Book Discussion Group,

a forum at which to attend locally hosted broadcasts of regularly-scheduled HRPS Teleseminars™ with fellow HRLF colleagues, and a Career Transition Group.

Our National Affiliation

HRLF is among the most successful independent affiliates of the Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS), which provides a focus and forum for professional activities to over 5,000 human resource practitioners around the world. Our members have access to global HR best practices and presentation material from other HRPS affiliates. Reduced registration fees at HRPS events are another benefit of the affiliation.
